Badan Biru Akibat Peran, Nicole Kidman Bawa Pulang Golden Globes

Jakarta Tahun 2017 lalu, serial Big Little Lies muncul di HBO. Menceritakan persahabatan beberapa perempuan, diperankan oleh Nicole Kidman, Laura Dern Zoe Kravitz, Shailene Woodley, dan Reese Witherspoon. Persahabatan yang diliputi misteri, juga kekerasan dalam rumah tangga.

Plot drama televisi ini menjadi begitu relevan, saat jelang akhir tahun, terkuak sederet pelecehan seksual oleh beberapa figur kuat di Hollywood. Dari produser film dengan kuasa, aktor kelas Oscar, dan masih banyak lagi. Hollywood akhirnya menguak fakta bahwa banyak sekali ketidak adilan terjadi pada perempuan di dalam industri. Bukan hanya pelecehan seksual, tapi juga ketimpangan upah.

Penampilan gemilang para pemeran, tema yang relevan, menjadikan serial Big Little Lies sukses membawa pulang 4 piala Golden Globes hari ini. Empat piala itu untuk Nicole Kidman, Laura Dern, Alexander Skarsgard, termasuk piala untuk Best Television Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television.

Pada wawancaranya untuk talkshow Ellen tahun lalu, Nicole Kidman sempat berbagi bahwa dirinya beberapa kali pulang syuting serial itu dengan tubuh lebam membiru – karena ia ingin berkomitmen dengan karakter perempuan yang mengalami kekerasan dalam rumah tangga. Di beberapa adegan memang Nicole dan lawan mainnya, Alexander Skarsgard, terlibat kontak fisik, yang mungkin berujung lebam tadi. Untung saja tak ada hal kelewat serius terjadi, ya?

Our verdict?

Kalau sudah pernah melihat serial televisinya, pasti melihat betapa effortless serial ini dibuat. Tidak neko-neko, tapi punya pesan sangat penting. Diproduksi oleh perempuan, untuk dinikmati perempuan, dan mereka yang peduli akan isu-isu perempuan. Kita butuh lebih banyak tontonan berkualitas seperti ini. Dan tak perlu sedih karena serial ini sudah berakhir, kabarnya musim kedua segera diproduksi. Walau dengan penutup di musim pertama, agak membingungkan cerita apalagi yang akan diolah.
