Penyanyi 90an: Beyonce Knowles Memimpin Dunia Lewat Musik

Wanita yang kini telah menikah dengan Jay Z ini memulai karirnya di usia yang sangat muda. Sejak kecil, dia telah terbiasa mengikuti berbagai ajang menyanyi dan dance. Hingga akhirnya, dia bergabung dengan grup bernama Destiny's Child.

Destiny's Child dimanajeri oleh Matthew Knowles, yang tak lain adalah ayah Beyonce. Dalam waktu singkat, grup ini langsung menjelma menjadi salah satu grup paling laris di era 1990an. Sayangnya keberadaan mereka tidak berlangsung lama.

Beyonce pun akhirnya meniti karir sebagai penyanyi solo. Berbekal popularitas yang telah dirintisnya di Destiny's Child, dia merilis album debut sebagai penyanyi RnB solo bertajuk Dangerously in Love (2003). Hasilnya ternyata memuaskan. Singlenya yang berjudul Crazyn in Love menjadi salah satu yang paling dicari dan meraih beberapa penghargaan.

Pada akhirnya, Beyonce tidak hanya bertindak sebagai penyanyi semata. Dia menulis lagu-lagunya sendiri, dan memberikan banyak inspirasi untuk dunia. Walau kerap menunjukkan sisi nakal dan seksi, namun isi lirik Beyonce banyak memberikan spirit untuk pemberdayaan kaum wanita. 

Kini, seiring dengan berjalannya waktu, Beyonce Knowles tidak menunjukkan tanda-tanda untuk berhenti berkarya. Dia bahkan dinobatkan sebagai salah satu artis terkaya versi Forbes lantaran penghasilannya yang menakjubkan. Dia dan suaminya, Jay Z, juga disebut-sebut sebagai salah satu pasangan musisi paling berpengaruh di dunia.
